MÒKÉ Atelier unveiled its latest collection, Butterfly in Bloom, at an intimate fashion presentation held at The Garden, Ikoyi, bringing together fashion editors, stylists, buyers, clients and industry insiders for an evening dedicated to contemporary African fashion. The launch also featured a private shopping experience, allowing guests to purchase pieces from the collection immediately after the runway presentation. Inspired by the butterfly, a symbol of growth and transformation, the collection marks an important milestone for the brand. It reflects MÒKÉ Atelier’s journey from a passion for creating beautiful garments to a fashion house recognised for refined tailoring, thoughtful design and timeless elegance. Founder Adetokunbo Oguchi describes Butterfly in Bloom as her most personal collection yet. “It represents the quiet seasons that shaped me, the moments when I was simply creating because I loved it, never knowing they were preparing me for something greater,” she says. She hopes the collection reminds women that “growth is never wasted and that there is beauty in blooming at your own pace.”
The runway showcased elegant dresses, kimonos, kaftans and more for women and men impeccably tailored crafted from luxurious fabrics. Soft draping, feminine silhouettes and intricate detailing defined the collection, offering versatile pieces designed to outlast seasonal trends while celebrating confidence, sophistication and individuality. Following the presentation, guests explored the collection up close, meeting the designer and shopping their favourite looks in a relaxed garden setting. The format allowed attendees to appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail that have become hallmarks of the brand.
