Asking for what you truly want can sometimes feel awkward. Whether it is a birthday gift, a personal goal or support for creative work, many people hesitate to ask. At the same time, friends, family and fans may genuinely want to help but are often unsure of exactly what is needed or how best to contribute.
HeySpender, a Nigerian-built social giving platform, is looking to change that by making giving and receiving simpler, more social and more enjoyable.
The platform brings Wishlists, Cash Goals and Creator Support together in one experience, allowing users to clearly share what they want while giving others an easy way to contribute.
“We realised that people often want to support one another, but the process of saying what you need, giving toward it and receiving that support is still unnecessarily fragmented,” said Awwal Goke, Founder of HeySpender and CEO of ExpressCreo Limited.
“HeySpender was created to remove some of that awkwardness and make giving feel natural, social and fun.”
With HeySpender, users can create wishlists for birthdays, weddings, celebrations, milestones or everyday desires, as well as Cash Goals for larger personal ambitions. Profiles and wishlists can be shared through links, social media and QR codes, allowing friends, family and communities to support users directly.
At the heart of the platform is a simple idea: “Wish It. Share It. Celebrate It.”

Beyond personal wishlists and cash goals, HeySpender also offers creators another way to connect with their audiences through Creator Mode.
Creators can activate direct support on their profiles, allowing fans and followers to contribute to them beyond likes, comments and views.
“Creators spend so much time building communities,” Goke said. “We wanted to create a space where those communities can do more than engage with content—they can actually show up for the person behind it.”
The platform also introduces a social element to giving through its Top Spenders feature, which recognises members of the community who actively support others. Spenders can connect their social media handles or websites to their profiles, creating opportunities for discovery beyond individual contributions.

For HeySpender, the idea goes beyond simply creating another wishlist platform. It is built around the belief that giving has always been deeply social.
Whether it is a friend helping with a birthday wishlist, a family contributing towards a personal goal or fans supporting a creator, the platform aims to make it easier for people to give, receive and celebrate support.
“We want people to feel comfortable saying, ‘This is what I want,’ and give others a simple, enjoyable way to say, ‘We’ve got you,’” Goke added.
HeySpender is now available across its web and mobile experiences, with Wishlists, Cash Goals, Creator Support and its Spender community available as part of the platform’s launch offering.
The social giving platform allows users to create wishlists, set cash goals, share their profiles and receive support, while creators can activate Creator Mode to connect directly with their communities.
Built around the philosophy “For Creators. For Wishers. By Spenders,” HeySpender is available now on the web, Android and iOS.
