There are moments that do more than capture attention and shift the standard. BEYOND on Tour IV, the wellness retreat arm of BEYOND Fitness Africa, was one of those moments. Held at Lakowe Lakes & Golf Resort, it brought together fitness, recovery, culture, beauty, performance and community in a way that felt elevated, intentional and
distinctly African.
At a time when wellness is increasingly becoming part of how people live, lead and experience the world, BEYOND on Tour IV offered a clear point of view. African luxury wellness does not have to imitate global templates. It can have its own rhythm, identity and excellence.
The retreat gathered high performing professionals, founders, creatives and wellness enthusiasts for a weekend designed to help guests move, recover, reconnect and exhale. From sunrise movement sessions by the lake to golf moments, breathwork, aqua aerobics, expert conversations and a dedicated Recovery Lounge, every part of the
experience was curated with care.
The moment that travelled the furthest was the now viral sunset ride with Loud Urban Choir. Set by the lake at golden hour, guests rode in rhythm as the choir performed live. The clips gained over one million views globally, placing African fitness culture in front of a wider audience and showing how powerful wellness can become when
movement meets music, nature and emotion.

It was beautiful, but more importantly, it felt real. The joy was visible, release was palpable. The energy moved beyond the screen because it was rooted in something honest: community, culture and a shared sense of presence.
This unique combination is what made BEYOND on Tour IV so compelling.
It was a carefully designed lifestyle experience that understood the modern African professional. The person who works hard, leads constantly, carries responsibility and increasingly recognises that wellness is no longer optional
but is essential.
Across the weekend, guests experienced strength, sculpt, stretch and mobility, breathwork, aqua aerobics, golf and a sunrise run-walk in collaboration with adidas Nigeria. The partnership brought performance and community into
the experience in a way that felt energising and accessible.
Outdoor movement was also approached with intention. With La Roche Posay as the sunscreen partner, skincare protection was built into the weekend across sessions under the Lagos sun, from Sunrise Sculpt by the lake to golf and outdoor movement. It was a reminder that wellness also includes preparation, protection and care.
The Recovery Lounge, supported by The Alternative Bank, reflected another important shift in premium wellness. Recovery is no longer an afterthought. Guests had access to massages, compression boot therapy, IV therapy with Glow Health, dermatology consultations with La Roche Posay, restorative treatments and scalp analysis with leading trichologists Koyin Vera-Cruz and Tolu Alli.

This attention to recovery gave the retreat depth. It acknowledged that high performance cannot be sustained by constant output alone. Rest, repair and restoration are part of the experience.
The expert sessions widened that lens even further. Guests engaged with conversations around sleep, nutrition, longevity, wealth building, hair and scalp health, and overall wellbeing. With partners such as Carib Health,Moneystart.co, Tresses Lagos and Bloom Hair Atelier, the retreat reflected a more complete understanding of what
modern wellness means.
It is not only about the body. It is also about confidence, energy, knowledge, recovery, financial wellbeing, skin health, hair health and community.
For Simisola Williams, Founder of BEYOND Fitness Africa, this is the vision behind BEYOND on Tour. “BEYOND was built from the belief that wellness is infrastructure for high performance. As leaders, founders and professionals, we
cannot separate how we move, recover and care for ourselves from how we build, decide and lead. Through BEYOND on Tour, we are extending our work beyond the studio and showing what African wellness can look like at its highest level: premium, culturally rooted, commercially relevant and built around the real needs of modern
professionals.”
That vision is what separates BEYOND on Tour from a conventional wellness getaway. It carried the polish of a luxury retreat, but with warmth and soul. It was premium without feeling distant, aspirational and beautifully produced
without losing the humanity of the experience. This is where BEYOND Fitness Africa continues to set the pace.
As Africa’s leading premium fitness and wellness brand, BEYOND has built a community around movement, discipline, recovery and culture. BEYOND on Tour extends that community into immersive destinations, showing that wellness on the continent can be world class, emotionally resonant and proudly rooted in place.
The viral sunset ride may have been the moment the world saw, but the full retreat was the real story. It showed what happens when African brands lead with excellence and identity, when community becomes the heartbeat of the experience.
BEYOND on Tour IV offered a glimpse into the future of African luxury wellness. One that is intentional, joyful, restorative and entirely our own.
